Q: Can I have the ground location for the middle of my BIG wall map anywhere I want?
A: Yes, you can center your map just about anywhere in the USA you want.

Q: How current are the dates that the aerial images were shot?
A: The images are the most current available from the original source data.  We update our archive as fresh imagery becomes available.  Generally, dates will vary from 2009 to as much as 3 years back. For more specific dates over your target area, contact us.

Q: Can I choose the level of detail that I want to see on my BIG Aerial Map?
A: Yes. This is one of the truly unique features of getting your custom map from us.   YOU decide both what size print you want and at what scale.   Scale is the distance on the hard copy map (inches) versus the distance on the ground (miles).

Q: Is there a higher cost for a higher detail (zoomed in view) map?
A: In rural areas pricing is almost always based on print size and not by the square mile. If you want to see more square miles on your map, you can either get a bigger print size, or choose a scale with more ground distance per map inch (see scale table). In urban areas, contact us for a quote.

Q: How big a map print can I get?
A: Pretty BIG. Standard map sizes range from 36" to 60" on a side for outside dimensions. We also do custom sizes and dimensions.  Contact us for a quote.

Q: Why do you include the Section Township Range grid on the BIG aerial map print in rural areas?
A: This is a unique and very popular feature of EagleView BIG Aerial photo prints. We included this reference grid on the map to make it very easy for people to find specific land parcels based on general legal descriptions.   Without it, it can be difficult for people to find a specific land parcel unless they know the territory real well.  We also included the section number labels.

Q: What about areas of the country that use metes and bounds for legal descriptions instead of the Public Land Survey System?
A: Areas of the eastern and southeastern USA, and areas of Texas do not use the Section Township Range (PLSS) reference system, so this data does not exist. For folks in these areas, their EagleView BIG aerial maps will have the latitude/longitude tics extended through the map as a reference. In addition, towns, and major roads are labeled to make it easier to find the land parcels that they are interested in.

Q: Are the roads and towns labeled?
A: Yes, the major roads are labeled, as well as most of the towns. The smaller roads are not labeled because it would clutter up the map too much. You can still see the minor roads from the aerial photo.

Q: If my area is not square, but is rectangular or some other shape, how can I get the map I want?
A: Just pick up the phone and call us, or send us an email.   We can create maps from 24" to 48" in one dimension, and up to 10 feet in the other.

Q: Can I put my company logo on my map?
A: Sure. Your logo and a short message can be added to the bottom left corner of your EagleView BIG aerial map print for a small additional fee. This is a great way to enhance market presence, since people will see your logo on a permanently mounted wall map for years. People have a natural tendancy to study maps of the area that they live and work in.  

Q: Can I sell, or give away these maps to my customers?
A: Yes, you can buy the first map at first print pricing, and subsequent maps at the discounted duplicate print price. Charge what you want.  Contact us for quotes on large volume discounts.

Your customers can select the print size, scale, map title, and middle-of-their-map ground location.  You can put your company logo on any maps you order and provide to your customers.

Q: Can I get digital map data from you for my mapping software?
A: Yes. You can get both the high quality 1 meter resolution aerial imagery, and the section, township, range PLSS grid data.  We can also acquire high resolution, aerial or satellite digital data.  Contact us to learn more.

Q: I have digital map data of customers, business locations, and field boundary locations. I would like to include these as a map layer on my EagleView BIG aerial map with appropriate labels. Can you include this on my BIG aerial map?
